Ultraviolet Sensors and Meters

Ultraviolet Sensors and Ultraviolet Meters measure the total ultraviolet radiation between 250 and 400 nanometers, in μmol m^-2 s^-1.

Taking Handheld Readings

1. Press the Power button once to turn the meter on (indicated at the right inside the red box).

2. Handheld UV Meters should be held with the top of the meter level to the horizon. Be careful not to shade the sensor in any way. Separate UV Sensor should be mounted on a horizontal surface.

3. The number displayed is the μmol m^-2 s^-1.
