The reflectance probe maintains the fiber-optic detector at a constant angle (normal to) and distance from its samples. Black anodized aluminum houses the built-in light source and prohibits ex-terior light from affectingthe readings. An internal disk diffuses the light to provide a more even distribution of light on the target sample area.
