Procurement Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Professionally negotiate terms and price, lead times, and stocking levels.
- Process requisitions, research materials/supplies, clarify specifications, prepare and place purchase orders.
- Optimize material/inventory levels, flow, and delivery using MRP planning/forecasting tools.
- Evaluate and build relationships with suppliers, maintaining at least two sources, review vendor scorecards with suppliers annually.
- Proactively respond to engineering changes to minimize obsolescence and shortages.
- Manage RMA and Corrective actions from vendors
- Coordinate with accounting to compile and analyze statistical data for cost analysis and track current market pricing.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare procurement reports
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor or Associates degree in Operations-Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
- Technical aptitude working with drawings, specification sheets, dimensions, and custom engineered parts; Bill of Materials; MRP systems; continuous improvement; Kanban; Lean Manufacturing.
- Odoo MRP experience is ideal.
This is a full-time position with benefits. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, paid holidays, compensated leave, and profit sharing. This is an in-person job at our headquarters in Logan, Utah. Work schedule is generally Monday-Friday 8 AM – 5 PM.
