Testing and Quality Engineer

Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in disciplines such as Engineering, Physics, Sciences, or equivalent.
• Creativity and aptitude for solving problems and technical challenges.
• Experience in a systematic approach to experimental test design and data collection.
• Experience in data analysis and graphical data summarization with software such as Excel, Matlab, or R.
• Ability to derive meaning, conclusions, and recommendations from empirical test results.
• Working knowledge of basic electronics.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work with scientists and engineers to test and validate new products for use in plant, soil, atmospheric, and environmental sciences, with the goal of ensuring the highest possible product quality.
• Perform application testing (long term stability, drop, temperature, ingress, humidity, surge, etc.).
• Conduct testing for regulatory compliance and certifications (CE, IP, etc.).
• Identify, interface, and coordinate with customers and partners for independent testing and data collection.
• Locate failure points and assist with root cause analysis to improve both in-development and existing products.
• Determine and document final product specifications.
• Summarize work with written reports, tables, graphs, and presentations.
• Work with the Marketing and Sales group to develop marketing literature, application notes, and user manuals.
• Work with the Manufacturing group to test, refine, and smooth production processes ahead of launch.
