Marketing Communications Specialist

OVERVIEW: The Marketing Communication Specialist will be responsible for creating and implementing various communication materials aimed at promoting Apogee Instruments’ products and services. This role requires strong writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to craft effective messages across multiple channels. The successful candidate will be adept at technical writing, email marketing, SEO strategies, ad copy creation, and product descriptions, with a strong understanding of audience engagement and brand consistency. You will report to the sales & marketing director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, promote, and support Apogee Instruments products by:
  • Technical Writing: Develop clear, concise, and accurate technical documents, manuals, and guides that communicate the complexity of our sensors to the end user
  • Email Newsletters: Create engaging content for regular email newsletters to keep our audience informed about company news, product updates, and industry trends.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic to our digital content, including website pages and blog posts.
  • Ad Copy Creation: Write compelling ad copy for various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and marketing goals to enhance customer engagement and conversion rates.
  • Product Descriptions: Craft persuasive and informative product descriptions that highlight key features and benefits, driving interest and sales.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and design, to ensure consistency in messaging and optimize marketing materials.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to understand target audience needs and trends to inform communication strategies and content creation.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze the performance of communication strategies and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Knowledge and Skills:

Required

  • · Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public relations, technical writing or related fields
  • · Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • · Minimum of 1-2 years experience
  • · Enthusiasm for working at a dynamic, steadily growing company

Preferred

  • · Experience writing content for products of a technical nature
  • · Experience or training in electronics, environmental monitoring, and/or agriculture

 

This is an in-office position full-time flexible hours, hybrid potential, and excellent benefits including paid holidays, paid leave, medical and dental benefits, 401k matching, and access to mental health resources. Competitive compensation is commensurate with experience.

Typical business hours at Apogee Instruments are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
