New Look for 2019! Blue Full-spectrum Quantum Sensor
Starting in mid-2019, all Apogee Full-spectrum 500 series quantum sensors are changing from gold to aqua-blue.
Does the change in color affect the performance?
No, it does not. The output and spectral response of the older gold and newer blue versions are identical.
Why did you change the color?
We changed to distinguish our quantum sensors from our other gold colored sensors to reduce confusion in the lab and on weather stations. We also received feedback from the coral reef growing industry pushing us towards aqua-blue instead of another color.
When will the blue sensor heads be available?
We will begin a rolling release of the aqua-blue heads in May of 2019. Our marketing materials are also in the process of being changed.
