Apogee Instruments SB-120 barometric pressure sensors combine excellent performance and affordability in a small, handy sensor. The sensor works well as a stand-alone product or it can be combined with sensors affected by barometric pressure, such as our line of oxygen sensors. Typical applications include pressure measurement in weather networks, often for weather forecasting and to correct the output of sensors sensitive to pressure changes. SB-120 pressure sensors output an analog voltage that is directly proportional to barometric pressure.
The standard lead wire length is 15 cm, which is useful if installing the sensor inside the same enclosure as the measurement device (e.g., datalogger or controller). If doing so, the enclosure should not be sealed off to allow the air inside the chamber to match the ambient air outside the chamber.
This pressure sensor is also weather resistant and designed for outdoor deployment. The standard, rugged cable length offerings are 5 meter, 10 meter, and 20 meter, or you can customize the length.
